These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Mogopodi Adventures (Pty) Ltd website and the booking of any trip, tour, transfer, activity or related service ("Services") offered us. By using our website or booking a Service, you agree to be bound these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or Services.
Mogopodi Adventures (Pty) Ltd ("Mogopodi Adventures", "we", "us", "our") is a tour and travel operator based at 50 Marais Street, Rustenburg, North West, South Africa. We arrange game drives, safaris, tours, transfers and related travel experiences, either directly or through registered third-party suppliers.
A booking is only confirmed once you have received written confirmation from Mogopodi Adventures and, where applicable, the required deposit or payment has been received. Submitting an enquiry or contact form does not, on its own, constitute a confirmed booking.
We understand that plans change. Requests to amend a confirmed booking (date, activity, number of guests) should be submitted in writing as soon as possible. Amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional costs from third-party suppliers. Where a change cannot reasonably be accommodated, our standard cancellation terms may apply — see our Cancellation Policy tab.
Some Services are delivered in partnership with accommodation providers, activity operators, transport companies and other independent suppliers. These suppliers may have their own terms and conditions, which will apply in addition to ours and will be communicated to you where relevant. Mogopodi Adventures is not liable for the direct acts or omissions of independent third-party suppliers, save as required South African law.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. The version published on this page at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
These terms are governed the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Mogopodi Adventures (Pty) Ltd understands that travel plans may change. We aim to apply a fair and transparent cancellation policy while protecting the costs incurred in arranging bookings, transportation, accommodation, activities and third-party services.
Customers may request cancellation of a booking contacting Mogopodi Adventures in writing using the contact details provided on our website. Cancellation charges will depend on the amount of notice provided before the scheduled service:
Where a third-party supplier, accommodation provider, airline, activity operator or other service provider has its own cancellation conditions, those conditions may also apply and will be communicated to the customer where applicable.
Mogopodi Adventures will consider cancellations arising from serious circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Where applicable, reasonable supporting documentation may be requested.
If Mogopodi Adventures cancels a booking because we are unable to provide the agreed service, the customer will be offered an appropriate alternative, rescheduling option or refund, depending on the circumstances.
Where cancellation is caused circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, safety concerns or other force majeure events, we will work with the customer to reschedule the booking or determine an appropriate refund or credit.
Cancellation requests must include:
Cancellation requests should be submitted through our official customer service contact details below. Mogopodi Adventures will confirm receipt of the cancellation request and advise the customer of the applicable cancellation charge and refund, if any.
Bookings can be made via our online contact form, phone, or email. Once we receive your enquiry, we'll confirm availability and provide a quote. A booking is only secured once a deposit or full payment (where required) has been received and written confirmation has been issued.
All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed. Once confirmed in writing, the quoted price will be honoured save for changes in government levies, taxes or third-party supplier costs beyond our control.
Group, corporate and custom itinerary bookings may be subject to separate payment terms, minimum numbers and lead times. These will be confirmed directly with you when arranging your package.
When you make an enquiry or booking, we may collect personal information such as your name, contact number, email address, and details relevant to your trip (e.g. number of guests, dietary or medical needs relevant to an activity). Payment details are processed securely and are not stored on our website.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share relevant booking details with accommodation providers, activity operators or transport partners solely to the extent necessary to deliver your booked Service.
In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held us. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details below.
Many of our Services, including game drives, safaris and bush walks, take place in outdoor and wildlife environments and carry inherent risks that cannot be entirely eliminated, even where reasonable safety precautions are taken.
To the extent permitted South African law, Mogopodi Adventures shall not be held liable for injury, loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, guest non-compliance with safety instructions, or the independent acts of third-party suppliers. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
We recommend that all guests arrange appropriate travel and personal accident insurance prior to participating in any of our activities.
